That is what I have been working on this week.
Counting the stars.
I pulled out a dozen, or so, quilting books and after flipping through them all, I picked out a variety, of different stars, and started making them. It’s been very relaxing. Perfect for the cold, snowy, lazy weather of this winter.
No pressure, no deadline and only a slight plan. I feel like a kid playing creatively.
I finally got around to starting Steven King’s, time travel book, 11/22/63. I am really enjoying it, he is such a great writer. Reading free Kindle books, is all fine and dandy, but reading a well written book is a whole ‘nuther game.
Life is good.

Great colour choices, they’ll look really twinkly when put together.

Thanks, Maria! Now you got me thinking about how to intentionally make them twinkly….

Give me a hard book any day. Hubby has a Kobo and he loves it. It weighs less – ha, ha.
I LOVE your stars. Especially the blue background. I look forward to seeing the end result.

Thanks, Delores! I had to Google, Kobo, I wasn’t familiar with that ereader! Don’t you just love the smell of paper?! Though the heft can get to me.
I am loving this blue background, too. I bought it a year ago and now I am afraid it will dictate the size, based on how much I bought!

Love that… I’m a block maker myself. With 2 little ones at home, I’ve been having fun practicing techniques and such instead of bigger projects. It’s easier to turn 4 X 12 inch blocks into a table runner than finding time to piece and quilt a bedspread! 🙂 Good job!

I’ve never thought of myself as a blockmaker, but I suppose I am. I am thinking one day I will combine lots of random color, and design, blocks into something big. Thanks, Yanuk!

I feel the same way. I have been working in the Farmer’s Wife Sampler quilt, but with all my colorful, modern scraps. So far, I’m a little under 20 blocks in and it is the most random collection of blocks I’ve ever seen. When I’m done, I want to put it together for fun. A double bed size comforter without a lick of sense. I think it will be amazing because it will be so random, just like me! LOL!

It might be awhile, Kathy, I am trying to not rush through this one and enjoy the creative process!

I like your stars. I’m working on something similar this year, but I’m a little behind where you are… I’ve only just picked my stars. 🙂 Good luck on your endeavor!
