Rain, rain it’s okay to stay….

I have so much to do today….

I have more to do than I can bother taking the time to make a list to get done…. Drizzly rainy days will guarantee I stay in and get “something” done….

Machine quilting done on this one, attaching the binding, by machine, so I have something to stitch on, in front of the television, tonight. I’m sure I talked about this at some point, but I can’t seem to find when I bought the fabric or when I put it together, but it has been pin basted for a long time. Finally have a need to finish it.

Granny Square quilt by Sewfrench

Got this charm square top put together and ready for quilting. These pieces came from the Shades of Gray swap that happened last year. I was tired of wracking my brain over what to do with them and just went for it. There will always be more gray, and I am tired of saving this for “someday”.

That’s all I can say about what I’m working on. It’s that time of year you know…. 🙂

Listening to the Audio version of The Story of Edward Sawtelle by David Wroblewski and thoroughly enjoying it as I work away… This is such a classic, bestselling book, I can’t believe the Kindle version is SO cheap! I got the audio version from the library 😉

Love the quilting on your granny square! And I think a gray patchwork for a gray, rainy day is perfect. We’ve had quite a few of those recently, and sometimes, it’s just what I need. Love your entries!

Thanks, Jennifer! I think I could use at least a week of rainy, gray days to keep me in and accomplishing! Problem then would be I’d get lazy and want to just lay around and read!

I love your granny square quilt! I did one in gray and A Stitch in Color, too! 🙂 (It’s one of the rare quilts I actually kept, and I use it all the time.)

Thanks Sarah! Now that I go back and see yours, it is probably where I got the idea how to use this fabric! Not sure, but I know it’s been a while! Love both of yours!!

It’s people like you that make me nervous getting dressed every morning. I’ve got a gold sweater but I fear wearing it with blue jeans!! LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Chuck!

Also, your settings in blogger are no-reply – a frequent occurrence with WP users commenting on Blogger. Luckily, I have your email in my contacts so when I remember to change out the email, I can reply. But it’s frustrating that the two formats can’t play nicer together….

It’s so strange how some days I can reply to any and everyone and last night I couldn’t get ANY Blogger comments to post. Tonight, every other Blogger comment posted after the first try, all others by the third try. I bailed on commenting on no one tonight 🙂 And Word Press is set up as a no reply and there is nothing I can do about it. It works with other WP bloggers beautifully but it makes everyone else come to my blog to comment and I’m guessing then they don’t know where to leave one! It is very frustrating. Thanks for keeping me in your address book!

I love the fabrics in your granny square quilt. I have one of those that I just need to make a few more blocks for.

  7. Wow, that is a bright quilt, love it! I really want to try that quilt design too but haven’t yet. I so love audio books, I drive a lot and they really make the time fly. Haven’t tried while sewing yet:)
